you very much. neil cavuto. bill: from st. john's episcopal church, they call this church the church of the presidents. every sitting member of white house attended church here going back to james madison. half a dozen or so presidents always made it their first stop on inauguration day. president obama continues that tradition with his family just emerging. martha: lovely family. the girls, we watched them grow up last four years, saush sha -- sasha and malia. how do you feel, is being shouted from the crowd. incredible moment for barack obama as he gets ready to begin his second term. four presidents have done this particular tradition of going to st. john's right before their inauguration. harry truman, ronald reagan and both president bush's went to st. john's on the actual morning of the inauguration. we watch president barack obama carry on that tradition. bill: remarkable when you are here in washington and you see the white house for the location where we are, lafayette church, st. john's church is on the north end of lafayette park. if you were to walk as a civilian, might b

democrats to vote in favor of it. it marks the second time now that house speaker john boehner has broken his own rule, the boehner rule, model on the hastert rule. said the speaker would not bring any bill to the floor for a vote that does not have the support of a majority of his conference, a majority of the majority, it's known as. but last night, just about 20% of the republican conference voted for the bill. the vote split the leadership, majority leader eric cantor, majority whip mccarthy voted for the bill. boehner first broke his rule on new year's day when he allowed a vote to avert the fiscal cliff on taxes. apparently there's an addendum to the boehner rule. the majority of the majority, unless the country is on the verge of a tax crisis, or chris christie has access the to a megaphone. christie made sure this week that republicans knew he would use it. >> and i'll say again, new jersey does not expect anything more than what was done for louisiana and alabama and mississippi and if they want to make new rules about disasters, they picked the wrong state to make the new rules

want to bring in joe johns. he's also working his sources. what are you hearing, joe? >> well, we've got the fbi, the alcohol, tobacco, firearms bureau and others converging on the scene and we're told there are about five different local agencies surrounding the woods there looking for that one shooter who apparently has not been identified. as ed reported, this sounds very different, wolf, from the types of situations we've seen aurora, colorado, newtown, connecticut, and other places where one individual went in indiscriminately and started shooting. this appears to be an altercation between two people in a school setting which makes it sound like more like the things we've seen at public schools and major metropolitan areas and some other universities where police have to start asking questions, was it drug-related, was it gang-related, was this a score settling of any type? these are the types of questions. and congresswoman sheila jackson lee of texas who represents this area, harris county, texas, was asked that question and sort of restated it on air a while ago but we dou

. chief washington correspondent john harwood joins us with the details. i was fascinated with some of the nra data and is what people blame the gun allowance on, john. it was like viability of guns, it was at the very bottom for the things that -- it just seems like maybe some people were a little disappointed with the results of the poll. i don't know. >> well, it did have some results that were chasening for those who were hoping for a quick reaction from congress. the nra's image was a little bit morrow bust than people thought. its net positive. and only down slightly from two years ago after the gabby giffords shooting. >> and you go to republicans and it was, like, 60% or something or almost 70% approval. but, you know, sometimes the media generally thinks the bubble that they're in, the media just assumed that the entire country hated the nra. >> i don't know if it's the media aren't, but -- >> well, people that report on the new stations like the big three and cable channels. >> well, it is true -- >> new york newspapers 37. >> it is true that you've got a big split in opin

boeing competitor airbus regarding what's happening with the 787 dreamliner. here's the coo john leahy on the 787 situation. >> boeing knows how to build airplanes. they build very safe airplanes just like us. the safety record in this industry is phenomenal. it is one of the safest if not the most safe form of transport you can find anywhere. so boeing will get this sorted out. boeing went with this new concept of an all-electric airplane. we decided not to do that, we are a conventional approach. >> remember airbus is in the process of building its competitor to the 787 dream liner, that's their a-350 that they're in the process of building. looking at a couple of stocks. the company out of japan that makes the lytham ion batteries for the dream liner, it's down roughly 9% since we first saw the first issue of the dreamliner in boston last week. and we also want to take a look at boeing one-month chart. at the end there, it's been like a roller coaster over the last week but a lot of pressure now. that $74 mark. that's where it was olding over the last couple of days. you have to won

that the president put out were greeted with lukewarm response. john boehner's spokesman put out a statement saying the house will look at those recommendations and if the senate pass as bill they will look at that too but no commitment move to any legislation in the house of representatives. so, larry, it looks like a lot of these proposals will not happen but there were more than 20 elements of what he proposed today, the president that were, in fact, executive actions that he could sign today and enforce through the executive branch of the government and that he did. so the rest of the proposals will be legislative and we'll have to see how they fare. >> as always, thanks eamon javers. the national rifle association is pushing back with a tough new ad campaign labelling the president an elitist hypocrite for allowing his own kids to have their protection. >> are the president's kids more important than yours? then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school? mr. obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes
